Transferring Skills into your Daily Routine with baby
Once both you and baby are comfortable with the SwimForce™ Circuit, you can start transferring these skills into other water situations.
Take bath time for example, during this time while baby is in the water and you are outside the tub, you can hold them while you encourage them to practice some of their SwimForce™ skills. You will soon see that you can easily to execute a quick routine yourself. Make sure to keep your hands and eyes on your baby at all times while they are in the water. Always watch for your child’s head and gage all water situations for safety.
- Depending where your bath is situated, The back float can be execute while you are outside of the bath as you can see in the video demonstration.
- Hold your baby under their armpits and have them swim to the other side of the bath on their stomach with their head above water.
- Repeat the back float up to 20 seconds if your child is happy.
- Sit or support baby while you have some fun, sing songs, blow bubbles with them, splash around and play with a toy. Keeping at least one hand on baby for support throughout the exercise.
- Repeat the above a few times if baby is happy and it fit’s into your schedule.
- Have fun, enjoy and repeat the exercises so that they become second nature for your little swimmers.
